How we pretend to be homeless!

Here we go!!!!! All packed up for a week of fun and meiham! Who would have thought our mini-mini van could pack so much stuff and still have room for all six of us! Well, just barely. As you can see Cole was the most comfortable and feeling pretty good about it. He's #1 in case you were wondering! Self appointed #1.
This is what we saw as we were leaving reality for our sub-reality. Prett cool huh?!

We got there pretty late around 10pm and got right to work.

The next day we just hung out around the camp site. The boys took their little blow up dingy down to the river and paddled around a bit. We all ended up there eventually.

Cole didn't know what to think of his "trap". Laura on the other hand WANTED to get in on the action! Silly girl.

If you've ever seen "The Incredibles" you'll get what's happening in this picture...Andrew is the "mom boat" and Dale is Dash! Yah, that's what I was thinking.

Laura was singing the song from Little Mermaid...Kiss the Girl. Too cute!

She's taking after her Aunt Ginia...tree hugger! I still love you Gin!

The Campbell's joined us Friday night. So did the Pickering Family. The first night was rough with Cole, but when Super Chrissy and her lovely girls offered to take Cole home for a few nights until we met up for a visit, we gladly accepted! Cole just isn't ready for camping quite yet.

Dueling camping stoves! Blueberry pancakes...Yummy!

We rented this awsome boat saturday to get the full experiecne of the Snake River. Boy did we ever!! We spent the day tubing and soaking up the sun. Along the river we found a small island and pulled over for a bit to play and find our land legs. Dale, Andrew and Jaxson found other things to keep them occupied! Andrew paddled a log (a pretty good sized log) from one side of the island through some other shored boats and almost to where we were on the end until Mike saw what was happening and kiboshed the mission thinking he would do more dammage to the other boats than necessary. He almost made it. Good try Andrew! Seriously did you expect anything less from the little man?!

We found this little guy in the river. Looked like a mini lobster. Some might call it a crayfish...I call it nasty!

Here's the super fantastic boat! You could drive this thing though a war zone and it wouldn't show any damage! It was quite the tank. But oh so fun!!

Here's where the log started off...

Taking time for a snack. This scene was re-played a few times!

Cute girls!

Mike and Andrew went on the tube piggiy back and after a while aborted the mission and jumped in!

Dale and Jaxson got "bored" apparently...too slow dad!

See, more snack breaks

We "cheated",as Dale puts it, that night for dinner. We returned the boat and went to a local joint for dinner! If it counts we did have dutch oven meals planned for every night.

Camp fires are my favirote part of camping. It usually means smores' time!

The campground had a little beach area we played at for a bit. Fun, until the boys discovered a super rotten dead fish. Then Kristie told a story of when her brother in law saw a dead cow floating down the river once...futher upstream, but still nasty!
