Dorman Girls Trip...

Laura and I snuck away for a 4 day mini-vacation to visit our good friends the Campbell Clan.  The real reason was to be there for Kaisa's baptism.  But we turned it into a vacation!  We had to get up pretty early to make the most of our time in Boise and going from airport to the Campbell's home this is how Laura ended up!  (It was a 10 minute drive!!!) Poor little thing :)

She perked right up when we turned the corner to their nieghborhood!  Almost like she knew we were there!!  After a quick lunch we lathered up and headed to the closest water park...2 minutes away!  Talk about convienent!!!  The kids in Idaho had aleady been out of school for a few weeks so summer was in full swing there...

The kids had a blast in the lazy river, kiddie water park, and wave pool.  Jaxson was the only brave one taking on the bigger rides!  We cooled off at he snack bar with ice cream and sodas...That's summer livin"!

Laura is lone ranger not in a tube in the center of this pic.  Kaisa is in the tube to her right.  Kristie-Carson-and Jaxson are 3 tubes back from Laura and Kaisa.
After swimming and cleaning up we met Tony for dinner at Cafe' Rio!! It was my maiden voyage in an actual Cafe' Rio...it was AWESONE!!!  Another of our good friends has made a "Cafe' Rio" dinner for us a few times and it was almost exactly the same!  Laura and I ended up with a couple guests in our hotel that night..Kaisa and Carson had a sleep over with us :)
The next day was Kaisa's bid day!
Laura was is little girl HEAVEN there in Bosie. The Campbell's next door neighbors have 3 little girls.  Their oldest was exctly Laura's age and they hit it off right away! Had the same taste in clothes too! Or at least their momma's did :)
Kristie's siblings were able to come too for the baptism along with both Grammas and Grampa.  Her sister has 2 girls and 2 boys.  The girls all clung together like sticky candy!  Her boys were just about the same ages as Dale and Drew.  I couldn't help but hug on their oldest...
He reminded me so much of Dale!!!!  Such a sweet kid...
After church on sunday we headed to the river to do a little biking and walking.  We had a great time relaxing!  While we stood around gabbing they were constructing little lakes of their own...

Late monday evening we headed home... :(  With the promise of a visit in the future!  It was so nice to get away and enjoy some great friends and warmer weather...
